I tried the lavender gin sweeping social media!
Full disclosure: I may like my fancy, complicated drinks when I’m out, but if I’m home, I’m googling, “lazy girl margarita.” And when I saw the lavender gin going viral on Instagram right now, I knew I was going to try it… in the laziest simplest way possible. So off to Instacart I went! And later that afternoon, it was mine: the prettiest, purpliest bottle just like Total Wine & More had promised. I had thrown in a lemon-lime soda to my cart and popped everything in my fridge. The next day, I was ready.
So, this lazy lavender fizzy gimlet is totally fine like this if everything is refrigerated and cold, but if you wanted to be extra fancy, you can shake this up with ice and garnish it with a lime wedge or even edible flowers! But because I found myself without edible flowers, here’s what I did for two glasses:
- 4 ounces lavender gin
- 6 ounces lemon-lime soda
- 2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
Then just mix together and enjoy your pretty, lazy cocktail! Cheers!
