It’s time to bid farewell to the muted tones of winter and embrace the vibrancy of summer. And what better way to do so than with the perfect colorful summer bag?
I was on the hunt for a colorful leather bag to add some pop to my warmer weather wardrobe. My checklist: soft, luxe leather; removeable, adjustable matching cross-body strap; a bag that can be dressed up or down; and a stylish statement in and of itself. I also love bags that are sculptural and unique! It was a tall order, and I admit, it took me a bit to find the right bag.
And I found it: the perfect summer bag! I got it in green, but honestly, I may need to get some of the other colors. (The camel and the blue are calling my name, and they’re saying, “Kate, you know you’re powerless to resist me.” Yeah, they’re probably right.)
The bag is super versatile and can easily transform from a daytime crossbody bag to an evening clutch, especially in the black, leopard print, or silver. The size is also perfect: I can fit my phone, wallet, charger, lip gloss, Burt’s Bees, keys, and Listerine strips in this bag easily. I like carrying it as a clutch with the loop around my wrist because I love that extra design detail (and having a hand free for a margarita! Hey, it’s summer, people!).
In a world bursting with color, why settle for anything less than the perfect colorful summer bag? I love embracing the fun of the season and sprinkling in some pops in my outfits, especially after hibernating all winter in my dark brown parka. I can picture the adorable pink bag shown above with a light summer dress and sneakers for a super cute daytime look!
Choose a shade that resonates with your personality and complements your existing wardrobe, allowing you to express your unique sense of style. This is the season to not be afraid to embrace color before the days get shorter and we go back to cuddling up in our oversized sweaters, boots, and neutral leggings. (Ugh, winter. Need I say more? Carpe diem, people!)
The leopard print shown above is also adorable and summery. I love how it’s styled with lightweight white linen, but I could also see this working with a colorful dress or romper!
